Welcome to Cloister Park Cottages

Once the vicarage, Cloister Park is a lovely 18th century Grade II listed house surrounded by a large garden. We have three cottages all of which have been recently renovated to a high standard and have been awarded a four-star rating by the British tourist council. All are fully equipped including washer-dryers, Digital TV, DVD players, have their own patio areas and are ready for you to start your holiday as soon as you arrive with beds made, towels in each room, and a cream tea waiting for you. Frithelstock

The hamlet of Frithelstock is surrounded by farmland and wonderful country views, there's a pretty public house, The Clinton Arms, offering excellent food and locally brewed beers, with a church, 12th century abbey ruin, a couple of farms and handful of cottages, it's a delightfully quiet spot within very easy reach of the historic town of Great Torrington just two miles away.

Great Torrington has an attractive market square, inns, cafes, shops, museum, pannier market and arts centre. It is also the home to the Royal Horticultural Society garden at Rosemoor, Dartington crystal and the Torrington 1646 past and present exhibition. See our things to do page for more information.

The Tarka trail is one mile down the hill has 180 miles of traffic free scenic walking and cycling, you can bring your own bicycles or hire them locally. For the swimmers, surfers or sandcastle builders the wonderful north Devon beaches of Westward Ho!, Northam and Instow are just six miles away. See our places to go page for more information.

Welcome

All our guests are welcome to enjoy our garden, we do ask however that due respect is paid to our lawn, flowers and other visitors.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, we have our own springer spaniel who loves to play with visiting dogs and children.

Linen is provided, with a bath towel and hand towel per person, tea towels and beds are made up ready for your arrival.

There is plenty of very safe parking on the main drive and we have a secure place for bicycles or you can hire them locally.
