Tedious but necessary

The small print such as terms and conditions: what we promise we will do; what you must promise you will do...

  1. Bookings can be confirmed by payment of a deposit of one-third of the total Rent, if the Booking is made more than 60 days before the start of the holiday. If the booking is made less than 60 days before commencement of the holiday, the full Rent is due at the time of booking. An E-mail reminder will be sent when full payment is due. Non-payment by the due date will be treated as a cancellation and we may re-let the property. Credit will be given for any rents received as a result of re-letting, less expenses.
  2. Cloister park cottages reserves the right to refuse to accept a booking and, in this event, all fees paid will be immediately refunded.
  3. In the event of a Cancellation we will make every effort to re-let the property and will refund in full less expenses. Please ensure that you have taken out adequate insurance to cover your holiday should you need to cancel and the property remains un-let, we do not offer holiday insurance.
  4. Under no circumstances may people or pets other than those specified at time of booking occupy the property.
  5. We expect visitors to take good care of the property, contents and grounds. You will be responsible for the full cost of any damages or breakages and any exceptional cleaning. We expect you to leave the property and its contents in a clean and tidy condition prior to vacating and to not cause any annoyance or become a nuisance to ourselves, neighbours and other guests.
  6. Dogs should be kept under strict control at all times, not allowed in bedrooms or on furnishings, nor left unattended in a cottage (unless agreed with us). You will be liable for any damage caused by them. Our garden is reasonably secure, however, one side is only bordered by a hedge. The Cottage has a private fenced in garden and patio, The Stable has a fenced in patio, The Coach House patio is not fenced.
  7. Cottages are available for a minimum of one week during the high season. Your cottage will be ready at 3.00pm on the first day of your holiday. To enable us to prepare for our next guests please vacate by 10.00am on the day of departure.
  8. If, for any reason, beyond the our control, the property is not available on the date booked, all rent and charges paid in advance will be refunded in full.
  9. There maybe times when we will need access to the property during your stay for essential maintenance.
  10. We cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. Whilst every effort is made to ensure our cottages are safe you remain responsible to for you and your family’s safety whilst on holiday. The cottage is not suitable for persons who have difficulty with steps, The Stables has downstairs bedrooms and it offers a walk in shower, but there are stairs up to the lounge/kitchen, The Coach House also has a flight of stairs but does have a walk in shower.
